MODELING THE MISSISSIPPI
In the third exercise, PlaceIt! and the workshop participants collaborated to construct a large to-scale model of the study area along the Mississippi River. In they process the particpants learned about scale, three-dimensional form, and how to transform a two-dimensional aerial photo into a three-dimensional model. With the model completed, the participants will now be able to construct three-dimensional representations of their ideas that came out of Exercise 1 and Exercise 2, to see how these ideas might mesh with their surroundings, and what changes/modifications might be needed.
